Therefore, in order to get the most pleasure from it, I recommend the following:
- Jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.
- Store your jewellery dry and untangled.
- Perfume, cosmetics, chemicals and even water can spoil stones, beads and metal findings.
- Remove your rings before washing your hands.
- Occasionally, a thread may peep through the work - it is safe to trim this with scissors, as I knot all threads at least twice.
- Shine can be restored to metal findings using an appropriately impregnated cloth. I do not recommend using liquid cleaners, as they can fill up bead-holes and look dirty.
- Do not clean jewellery in an ultrasonic apparatus.
